The Bulkeley Hotel stands yards from the beach and pier alongside the Menai Strait, with stunning views across the water to the mountains of Snowdonia. Built as a Georgian showpiece in 1832 — Princess Victoria stayed the year it opened — the hotel today has 43 en-suite bedrooms, a fine restaurant, coffee shop, real ale bar and lounge, with a lift to all floors and facilities for disabled guests.
The kitchen serves ‘a Taste of Wales’, cooking the best of local produce creatively. For business, there are meeting rooms for 2–150 with full connectivity; for celebrations, the hotel hosts civil weddings with a ballroom for up to 140 guests.
Location could not be better: the castle, pier and Castle Street are all within three minutes on foot. See also our full hotels guide.
